On Friday 24 January, councillor Daniëlle van Bentem of the municipality of Renkum gave the starting signal for the construction of the Dunoveste residential building in Doorwerth. No fewer than 75 flats will be built on the Van der Molenallee. Initiator Janssen de Jong Projectontwikkeling invited future residents, neighbours and those directly involved to celebrate this special milestone together.
Mix of housing types
Dunoveste is a 12-storey residential building with a total of 75 owner-occupied flats, designed by Peters & Lammerink architects. The building will feature a mix of affordable, mid-range and more expensive flats so that there is something for everyone. Virtually all flats have been sold. The adjacent parking garage will soon provide space for 59 cars and will have a green roof garden as the upper deck. Construction is in the hands of Janssen de Jong Bouw. Expected completion is at the end of 2026.
Living with character
Dunoveste is in a wonderful location: on the edge of the beautiful Cardanus forests and within walking distance of Doorwerth’s shopping centre. Comfort and sustainability are central in Dunoveste. Residents can make use of convenient solutions such as a Bring-me-Box for parcel delivery and an electric shared car on site.
Scaffold-free construction
The residential tower will be built entirely without scaffolding. Janssen de Jong Bouw uses precast concrete walls, columns and balconies for the construction. The facades consist of HSB elements with mineral stone strips. A 51-metre high tower crane will be used to erect the building, which will be placed in the stairwell.
A milestone for Doorwerth
The start of construction marks not only the transformation of an old building into a contemporary residential location, but also the enrichment of the community in Doorwerth. Dunoveste fits in perfectly with the diversity of the surrounding area and offers space for a variety of housing needs. Together with committed neighbours and new residents, a vibrant place with a future is being created.
